The ear doctor and I are stopped at an impasse. We were wondering what time the average person gets up in the morning. Please, help us settle this debate. What time do you wake up in the morning? Is it closer to 6am or closer to 7am?
I get up when the munchkin does. It varies between 7-8:30. My husband on the other hand is lucky if he leaves the house for work before 9. Which means he never gets out of bed before 8:30
So, I'm going to go with closer to 7. My mom would bring that average considerably lower though since she gets up at 4 most days. She is also crazy.
My husband is up at 5 for work, I'm usually up at 515 so I can get a shower and 10 minutes to myself, and my sweet children wake up around 6. I keep hoping that some day they will learn to sleep in ( there is no reason whatsoever for them to be up so early) but so far they are early birds.
I figure they'll start wanting to sleep in about the time they have to start getting up at a set time every morning. :-)
I get up at 5:00 (a hideous time of day by the way) but my office opens at 6:30 and I like to get there early so I can leave at 3:00! Oh the joys of working for the federal government!
During the week? 5:30. (except when I'm ultra tired and stay in bed until 8. Seriously, how do people without flexible work schedules SURVIVE?) Weekends? 9:30ish.
Unfortunately, 6am so I can get my Kindergartener to school that starts at 7:45am. I miss the days when I got to sleep until something more like 7am because my kids didn't wake up until 7:30 or 8am.
I suppose I am of no help whatsoever, since I get up at 6:30am.
ReplyDeleteI get up between 5:30 and 6:00
ReplyDeleteMom
As late as my children let me get up! Usually around 7.
ReplyDeleteThe answer is definitely 6:30. So, is that closer to 7:00 or closer to 6:00? Hmmmm.

ReplyDeleteI'm no where near average! I get up around 8:00 sometimes 9:00. That's the beauty of working in Broadcasting... work doesn't start until 10:00!!

ReplyDeleteIf it was up to me 7. But since our children rule our lives during the school week, it is about 6:15. Bleh.

6:30 for work.
ReplyDeleteMore like 8 on the weekends.
Closer to 7 for me. 5:30 (in theory!) for my husband.
ReplyDelete5:30 for my ever loving job, so closer to 6 am. 8 or so on the weekends. I think the timing depends on your particular motivation for getting up...
ReplyDeleteUsually 5:30...some days 5 (if I am busy at work)...usually at work before 7. On weekends...usually sleep in until 7.

ReplyDeleteI was raised in a house where if you slept in past 8 you had wasted your day...
