Opinions please

Which sofa do you like the best?

Option #1

Option #2

Option #3 (not in white per ear doctor, and sanity's request)

  1. I love option #3. "Feet" are very in right now and always add extra class to furniture, IMHO.

  2. Oooh...I love #2. I like that it sits a little closer to the ground, and while erinannie is right, that feet are in right now, I think #2 will give you the longevity you would hope to get from a sofa.

  3. I like the lines of #1--just a little slant off of traditional, but still clean. In light of your current puppy plans, I would note that leather cleans up a lot easier than upholstery (it looks like #3 is covered?), although I'm not too sure how it would hold up to puppy's claws.

    I like #1 and #3.
#1 has great lines... classic with a slim mordern edge.

#3 also has great lines with a little extra weight. Something to think about with consideration to your other furniture. Is it heavy or sleek?

Stylewise I might go with #3 for longevity. It will see you through more design changes than #1. But if you're going to spend the money - I'd go with Room and Board over Crate and Barrel.

I feel like #2 is too clunky and heavy... but I don't know your style.

  5. i live #2 personally. i think the other 2 are a bit more, i don't know modern? and i am a fan of the comfy couch that you can't wait to spend an entire weekend afternoon on.

  7. I say think about how high the arm rest is. Are you going to want to lay down on the couch? Is the arm rest too high for comfort in that area? Style wise I like #1, but the arm rests might be too high.

  9. I like #3 because it looks perfect for a nap. Perfect armrest height... Suddenly I'm very sleepy.

If you are considering a leather sofa and a puppy, be forewarned: puppies love leather - as a teething toy. Invest in lots of throws to keep any leather covered to protect it from claws & teeth, also a crate (dogs do quite well in them if they are trained in them) and LOTS of Bitter Apple.

  11. #3--Those arm rests are begging for a head to lay down and take a nap.

    Actually, I like this one.

  13. I like three because it has the neat feet like #1, but has the arms of #2. It is the best of both.

  14. #2, but only if it's comfortable to sit on.

I'm with Chronicler on this one! # 3. And because it looks the most comfy!

  16. They're all pretty rad. I'd go for whichever is least expensive, but I'm just cheap like that.

  17. I love all three, but here's my deal: We have two couches with feet like #1 and #3 and one of the feet has come completely loose from the housing, making the couch not very stable (nothing's ever happened like a collapse or anything, it just wiggles). Granted, Matt could easily fix it, but if your house is anything like ours, it won't likely be soon. So, with that said, I vote for sturdy #2.

  18. I like all 3. Feet on furniture can help make a small space feel less crowded. I say whichever is most comfortable. And I wish we had gotten a leather sofa- because of easy spill clean up, and a classic look.

  19. I'm probably too late on this. But from what you have shown us on your blog over time in regards to the aesthetic you like, I'd lean towards option #3. It's seems a bit more tailored than the other two.

  20. Am I too late? I like Option 1. I've always been a big fan of angled couch arms and the feet are sassy.
