Saturday's happenins

What to know what's fun?

Ripping out old hardwood floors.

I didn't get to do any of the demo of the kitchen, so this was my first experience with intentional destruction of our house. Taking out stress and frustration with a pry bar is wonderfully rewarding. It's especially nice when the 87 year old plank subfloor is still in working condition.

Not a termite bite or water damaged spot to be found! I love Colorado!

Are you going to use that particle board for the flooring? It works great with carpet but I would talk to the flooring guy Garrett and I met at HD and ask him about cork flooring. Also if it's not too late make sure all the plank are solid to the joist stringers. That will eliminate sqeeks in your floor. great job !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
