Is it wrong...

So the colors for our wedding are blue and brown. Light blue and chocolate brown. I'm in love with this color combination. We're using blue hydrangeas in the centerpieces. It will look great.

However, I found this bouquet. It drives me wild with desire.

Would it totally destroy the continuity of the day to use these beautiful peonies for my flowers and keep with the hydrangeas in the centerpieces?

Those are probably a David Austin rose or another heirloom-style rose. The feel of the bouquet is very consistant with the hydrangeas, so I say go for it. You will have a more diverse color selection with the roses than peonies but you should check on both with your florist (the peonies might be harder to get that late in June)

You could use white peonies instead of pink. That would still go with your color scheme :)

go with the peonies. One of my daughters had hydrangeas in her bouquet and they died in about an hour. They did not hold up well at all.

Absolutely, positively get the bouquet you want. A pale creamy pink will be a fantastic girly touch that won't be overly competitive with your color scheme. You could even bring in your brown and/or blue with the bouquet wrap.

Jessica has a great idea - maybe ribbon to match the gown??? farmhousefabrics.com has a great selection of silk satin ribbons - many colors & widths. Service is fast, too.

Honestly, no one will notice if your bouquet doesn't match the centerpieces. I say get what you want in your bouquet because it's the most important! Pink is a lovely accent to brown and blue. Especially if it's a light pink like the picture.

Oh you MUST get this bouquet. It is SO pretty!

I'd add blue and brown ribbon and call it a day.

chocolate, light blue and the beautiful blush pink bouquet all compliment eachother. it's not like you're throwing a garish red in to the mix-- pink would be lovely! having had a wedding in the last year, I'm sooo glad I didn't go too matchy-matchy with my colors. the first thing every girlfriend asks, "what's your colors?". pictures are more timeless if you don't try so hard with a "theme". and what's more, you are the bride- you should stand our from everything else, not just blend in!
good luck! i'm sure it will be so lovely!
