Your life is really, really hard. I hope you don't get splinters in your lip when you lick the extra hot chocolate off the wooden stir stick.
The answer is secret (unstated) option #3 - a spoon, silly!
You just can't beat the stirring power of a spoon, plus -- no splinters AND nothing goes in a landfill.
