So I went to Walgreens on my way home from the airport so I could get my photos developed from the wedding.
I specifically asked them to make CDs of my photos so that I could download all the pictures of my pretty sister onto my blog and share with my pals.
Did I get the CD?
No
Can I show you the pics?
No
Should I ever trust the 17 year old high school punk wearing a navy blue vest that only has 1 hour left of his work shift before he can go out and party with his friends?
No
Should I join the 21st century and get a really nice digital camera so I can just do all this stuff myself and not have to deal with developing film anymore?
Probably

Oh Katie, I sympathize. My film from a recent trip got developed sans CD. It sucks because I don't want to scan them all but I do want to share. I suppose I should consider going digital too.
That happened to me too at Walgreens. I went back and raised Holy Hell until they said that they "could make a cd out of negatives". I told them, "Yes you can and you will for free." It's not hard, but they have to feed the negatives a special way or something. It just means they have to spend 10 more minutes doing something they should have earlier. Go to Wal-Mart and ask them to do it. They can.
Go Digital!!!!

Can I suggest the Canon SD300. It's fan-freakin-tastic! I got one last week... named it stuart little (because it's so small and I'm a nerd like that) Best investment I EVER made - $319 at Best Buy! (But beware that the flash is REALLY bright!!! - I'm still seeing spots)
I have a Canon also... the Elf (or Elph? don't know). Anyway, BEST PURCHASE I've ever made, honestly. I've gotten thousands of pictures out of it. I am a maniac now.
And it's small enough to fit in my Coach wristlet. Priorities, priorities.
