Rock the vote

I've found two dresses that I'm considering buying for a wedding later this summer. I really love them both and can't make up my mind. So I'm coming to you, dear friends. Which do you like better?

#1

#2

And how would you accessorize the one you like better. (confession: I'm a horrible accessorizer...)

It's really crucial to get the right dress since it's the only article of clothing I'm allowing myself to purchase this summer.

I vote for #2. Unless you're able to try on #1 in person and have made sure it's an absolute perfect fit.

#2. hands down. #1 is great, but could end up looking frumpy if it doesn't fit just right. (and isn't accessorized just right.)

I like #1 better. But it might just be because I'm not a big fan of the wrap around look.

Fit is king, and unless #1 fits perfectly, it could be problematic/unforgiving with those darts on the waist.

As for accessories with #2, I'd go with baby blue or bright yellow shoes and a bright, chunky necklace/brooch/bracelet. Or even a fun headband?

I think I need to get myself that first dress. So maybe you should go with the second? ;)

Oh one one one!! I love it so much. If it fits it will be the loveliest dress.

i'd go for number two also. first, you know you look awesome in green, second, it has a more interesting neckline, which i always prefer. i stopped wearing crew neck anything a few years ago when i realized it was not nearly as feminine as a scoop or v-neck. i'd go with a colorful bracelet or chunky retro-ish bead necklace in a fun color, maybe nude shoes. UNLESS you go simple with the jewelry (small silver pendant or something), then go for some pretty floral print shoes or something. can't wait to see what you choose!

Both great choices.

I agree with what others have said- #1 IF it fits perfectly. Else, #2. Really, I don't think you can go wrong with either.

I wish I could offer some help on the acceossorizing but I'm also terrible at the art of it. Good luck!

#2!!! I love the detail on top and the simple on bottome! I also love that the color isn't too drastic- could be an "any" season dress depending on the weather.

Oh I vote for #1- it's so sleek and pretty - but I agree with the others, it has to fit just right and flatter your figure.

#2 - seems like your style, but my personal taste is it's too busy. (I could never pull that off - too overwhelming) Also, I like the idea of going out of your typical style - especially with #1 because it is so classic yet en vogue!

So, with #1 I would go with a silver chain necklace... something that would hit at the bustline - and maybe some fun silver stap heels.
But maybe silver doesn't go with your coloring - so you could also do beads in either red or yellow - and coordinating heels.

For #2 - a short beaded chocker type - with a pendant hitting around the collarbone -- some fun bangle bracelets and some fabulous pair of colorful heels - with a bow, ribbon or even buckle maybe in a contrasting color like yellow.

#2!!! Adorable. But, since the neckline is so pretty, do not wear anything on your neck. Let the neckline say it all. I would wear a really pretty scarf in your hair with your hair all wrapped up in it! Also some very pretty lt colored shoes! Of course you could go with earrings and bangles but then again could let the scarf be the main thing and leave it as simple and pretty as that! Sometimes I think not wearing a ton of extras is the way to go! Good luck.

If it was me (because this is what I do), I would buy them both, then at home, with the shoes, purse, etc that I would wear with it, try it on and model it for the ear doctor. Then between what he thinks and you think and feel most comfortable and cute in, return the other one.

I like the green one and think it would be more practical because it has shorter sleeves, which is more appropriate for potential summer heat. I say that regardless of which dress you get, you need to get GOLD accessories.

I like the first one better.

the first one hands down, no question. i think tastefully retro is key. delicate gold jewelry, perhaps a sweet locket or a brooch? and killer metallic gold shoes. with a highhigh heel. let your natural beauty take care of the rest.

I like the style of number two but think the color of number one will rock on you (I have number 1 and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!).

You can't go wrong which ever one you choose.

Accessories: keep it simple for both. If you wear earrings no necklace. I'd say just earrings and call it good...hmmm...perhaps some little lovelies would look good on your ears (shameless plug I know :D)

I like the blue, it is very work friendly. Sometimes wrap desses just don't wrap around enough...Good luck. Either dress would look great a pair of printed heels.
